Welcome Message

From the Charles River in Cambridge to the Sudbury River in Wayland, covering all the towns West of Boston, between these 2 rivers, I am here to help you with your real estate needs. As a Massachusetts resident for the last 30 years, I have lived and owned real estate in 6 of these towns. As a Realtor for the last 26 years, I have helped clients buy, sell, and buy again as changes in work, family and finances have resulted in changes in their housing needs. More space, less space, investment property, single floor living, a bigger yard, moving within the city and out of the city, all are common needs as we live our lives. As you grow and your needs change, I am there for you. I understand, I listen and I love helping people find the place, the space and the home that works for them, right now.

Final Steps to Closing Your New Home

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

Buyer's Agents always advise their clients do a "Final Walk Through" just before the closing. It is important to see the house, usually on the way to the closing, one last time. You do this for all the obvious reasons: to make sure no significant damage was done when the seller moved out to make sure all the inclusions/exclusions previously negotiated are there/were removed to make sure that any agreed upon repairs have been completed to make sure the house is left in the standard "broom clean condition".  (Through the years I...Continue Reading...

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

I thought that opening up a credit card account was the smartest, quickest and most effective way to improve ones credit score.  Well according to my mortgage representative, here are three more options that you can do to re-establish credit even more quickly. CD Method:  Go to a small bank or Credit Union and open up a Certificate of Deposit for $1,000 and ask to take out a personal loan for $500. Let them know you are trying to rebuild your credit. These institutions...Continue Reading...

Will you miss Spring this year?

said on December 30th, 2011 filed under: Market Trends, Seller Information

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

Real estate is seasonal with the Spring Market usually being the best time to sell. If you are planning to sell your house in the spring keep in mind that, for real estate, spring comes sooner than you might think! Barring no nor'easters or continuous snow storms, the Spring Real Estate Market (between 2 rivers!) usually means the end of January or February timeframe.  And serious buyers start looking for a home right after New Year's Day.  If inventory has been low and buyer...Continue Reading...

How to save $1000. Dollars A month!

said on December 28th, 2011 filed under: Seller Information

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

In the last month, I have talked to two past clients who have not made time to refinance since they purchased their homes in 2006 & 2007. With interest rates dropping steadily over the last few years I thought for sure everyone that could refinance had now done so, possibly even more than once!  I was flabbergasted to hear that they had not, and while not responsible, I couldn’t help but wish I could have gotten to them sooner, as waiting literally...Continue Reading...

Warm weather sells houses…

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

Real estate activity & sales spiked up in November when it usually slows way down. Here is a picture of the Market Average for the year, for condos, in four of the towns Between 2 Rivers.  See what I mean?  Low inventory, low interest rates, and probably even the warmer weather, keep the market moving. If you have an observation about this trend or want information about your specific town, please feel free to comment or give me a call.Continue Reading...

Why You Need To Complete Your Home Repairs Before Selling.

said on September 30th, 2011 filed under: Seller Information

Between 2 Rivers Real Estate

I am often asked by sellers about which repairs matter and what they should fix prior to putting their house on the market.  Here are some things to contemplate: Most buyers don’t want to buy a house with your "to do" list.  Perhaps that is why you want to sell, but that's not the part of your house most buyers are going to want to buy!   So unless you are selling a house as a "fixer upper", or "contractor special" you should do as...Continue Reading...
